Apex Climbing Rope is designed for Top rope, big wall, trad climbing or for working projects and developing routes. Apex Climbing Rope traditional pattern dynamic climbing rope meets the mark of high performance and a high UIAA fall rating. Apex is a dynamic climbing rope.

Apex dynamic climbing rope is an excellent choice for challenge courses and fall protection for safety personnel. It consistently takes a beating but still delivers reliable clips. Endura STD-DRY water-repellent coating applied to the core of all Apex models. Some Apex colorways are available in BI-Pattern only.

What is a BI-Pattern rope?

Bi-Pattern ropes follow a special design that changes pattern at the ropes midpoint. This change is a result of repositioning the bobbins (spools) during the braiding process to permanently mark the center of the rope in a way. The marking is immediately visible to the climber and since no fibers are cut, tied or spliced and no pigments or other chemicals are applied to mark the middle points, Bi-Patterns are the safest form of mid-point marking available for climbing ropes.

Bi-pattern ropes are not available to purchase by the foot.

Endura 2x-DRY water-repellent coating applied to the cover of the following Apex models: Yellow (9.9mm), OD Green (9.9mm), Sky (10.2mm), Amber (11.0mm), OD Green (11.0mm).

What is Endura 2x-DRY?

Select models of MAXIM ropes also pass the second stage of the Endura DRY process and feature 2x-DRY treatment. These ropes are treated a second time by submerging the finished rope in our proprietary dry coating. Afterwards, the finished rope runs through an environmentally controlled process to create a chemical bond between coating and fibers.

MAXIM ropes with Endura 2x-DRY treatment takes in less than 5% of their weight in water. Therefore, they also fulfill the requirements to be marked as UIAA water-repellent according to UIAA standard 101.
